Does PMU Tattoo hurt?
A numbing agent is applied prior and during the procedure . Pain tolerance varies from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable. It is highly recommended to avoid tattooing during a menstrual cycle because the skin can be hypersensitive.
How long is a typical Cosmetic Tattoo procedure?
The procedure takes about 1.5 - 3 hours depending on the Artist. This includes numbing, mapping/pre-draw, and the tattooing.
Is Cosmetic Tattoo Safe?
Yes, each procedure is done using sterile, disposable needles and supplies in a clean studio where it's disinfected before and after procedures. We are also Fraser Health Approved to ensure our standards meet the guidelines.
Can you get PMU when you are breastfeeding or pregnant?
We do not perform cosmetic tattoo on pregnant or nursing women, to ensure safety of the baby.
How long does Cosmetic Tattoo last?
Cosmetic tattooing are considered semi-permanent and will not wash off and touch ups are needed every 1-4 years. Frequency of touch up depends on: the pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster), lifestyle (sun exposure), iron deficiency (your body absorbs iron-oxide as a supplement), and if any chemical peels come into contact with treated areas.
How long does it take for your tattoo to heal?
It takes about 2 weeks to heal the top dermal layer of the skin. For the deeper layers it can take up to 4-6 weeks.
In some cases yes, it is normal to swell after any cosmetic tattoo procedure. The swelling should go down after 24 - 48 hours
PLEASE NOTE: If you do have previously tattoos and are interested in a cover up you MUST email a photo prior to booking an appointment. We cannot guarantee results for cases such as these and we must approve that your eyebrows are workable. In some cases where the previous work is too dark, dense, discoloured, or large, tattoo removal will be highly recommended before we begin the cover-up/re-work. Previously tattooed areas and cover-ups will almost always require additional touch-ups for best results and will be charged accordingly.
Will be swollen after Lip blush/Eyeliner/Eyebrow Tattoo?
How will my Cosmetic Tattoo look like in the future?
Your tattoo will eventually look softer. This happens with all clients as the skin ages and lifestyle. To keep tattoo fresh in colour, a refresher appointment is suggested every 1 to 2 years. Results vary with each client..
What to do before/after my appointment.
Will Cometic Tattoo work for me?

Extremely sensitive acne prone skin: If you suffer from extremely sensitive acne prone skin, tattoo may not be suitable for you

If you are really picky, I don't recommend getting a tattoo as it does last a few years

If you are a frequently smoker, pigment may fade quicker
Can you get Lip Blush Tattoo if you have lip filler injects?
Yes, I recommend getting lip blush 3 weeks after getting lip filler injections. This will allow the filler to settle in.
What is the Tattoo process?

Consultation: The technician will ask what type of style the client would like and answer any necessary questions a client may have.

Numbing: A topical anesthetic (4% lidocaine ointment) is applied prior to the procedure to ensure maximum comfort. During the procedure a separate numbing agent is used to enhance numbing effects.

Design: A natural or preferred designed is created best suited for your facial shape. Then a pigment colour is chosen for your procedure

Tattoo: Chosen pigment colour(s) are implanted in the top dermal layer to create hairlike strokes that mimic the appearance of natural brow hair within the designed brow shape.
